Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Monitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet production and supply requirements.
  • Control stock levels to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand goods requirements.
  • Coordinate associated forwarding transportation activities.
  • Oversee recording of storage and distribution transactions across warehouses.
  • Ensure accuracy in transactions and promptly investigate discrepancies.
  • Plan, organize, and record transactions to track material movements efficiently.
  • Manage movements of palletized and bulk container materials across warehouses at optimal times.
  • Conduct and manage inventory audits at both onsite and third-party logistics warehouses.
  • Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor storage and distribution strategies, policies, and plans
  • Generate purchase orders for storage, transportation, and other ad-hoc requirements.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to maintain efficiency in purchasing processes during temporary vacancies in the purchasing lead/manager role.

To be successful in this role, you will require          

  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing, logistics, and warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in conducting stock audits and adept at data analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in effectively collaborating with stakeholders across diverse departments, showcasing a proven track record of successful interdepartmental cooperation.                                             
  • Minimum Level 7 bachelor’s degree in commerce; overseas degrees must be evaluated by NZQA or Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  •  Must have 2 + years of experience with AX 2009 and D365
  • Strong background in managing stock at third-party logistics warehouses
  •  Previous experience working with freight forwarders.
