Quest Highbrook provides stylish, furnished apartments with a 4.5 Star rating. We have a range of apartment types which consist of Studios, One Bedrooms and Two Bedrooms with daily servicing and is available for short and long-term business requirements in East Auckland

We have 120 Apartments and have opened in September 2013. We are proud of the great team of people working with us and we couldn’t do it without them.

This offer is a full time position with up to 40 hours per week and this includes morning, afternoon and weekend shifts and night duties with a starting rate from $26.00 p/hour. Salary can be discussed also at time of interview.

The successful applicant will be:

  • Qualified with NCEA Level 6 plus Hotel/Tourism Management Specialisation
  • Well-presented, energetic and highly motivated
  • Intuitively understands customers’ needs
  • Proactive, confident and with a warm and friendly personality
  • Well organised with the ability to multi task and complete detailed high-quality bookings
  • Thorough, accurate execution of business processes, reliable and dedicated
  •  Able to work independently unsupervised and within a tight team
  • A quick learner and outcome focused
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated 

The successful applicant must be able to: 

  • Demonstrate previous experience in front line Receptionist/Hotel role
  • Utilize available resources to provide excellent guest satisfaction
  • Handle requests and transactions of guests and management
  • Coordinate with other departments, particularly liaising with house-keeping
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a professional manner
  • Listen to guest’s inquiries, understand and inform them of the hotels facilities and local area amenities
  • Handle guest’s requests, issues and complaints satisfactory and pro-actively to produce good outcomes
  • Have a friendly phone and personal manner demonstrating proper telephone etiquette and taking accurate messages for guests and staff
  • Handle reservation calls and make accurate reservations
  • Know, understand and execute our policies and procedures
  • Show understanding of customer/price “segmentation” and sales skills
  • Have excellent English language skills both written and verbal
  • Maintain a professional standard of dress at all times
  • Be familiarised with using internet based applications as well as experience with Microsoft Office
  • Have Experience in cash handling including Eftpos


Hours of operation are: Monday – Friday, 7AM – 8PM: Shifts are split of either 7AM – 3PM or 11AM – 7PM & 12PM - 8PMWeekends and Public Holidays, 8AM – 4PM: Shifts are 8AM – 4PM including 24 hour Duty Service on Weekends (begins 8PM Friday – 7AM Monday morning) and during the week if required.Please email your Application including your CV to Jobs@questhighbrook.co.nz before Friday 29th July 2022
