On 9 April Facteon are opening their workshop doors to show off the latest in Industry 4.0, custom machining and robotics.

Founded in 1981 as the internal engineering division of Fisher & Paykel Appliances, Facteon has grown to become a global specialist in factory solutions and intelligent manufacturing.

Take this opportunity to tour their facility, see their latest automated welding and forming line which is headed to a customer in China, and hear from industry experts.

TransNet, Wednesday 20 March 2019

 

TransNet is an eco-focused company leading the way in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. GETBA Members had a lot of fun test driving EVs and touring the facilities. The building is very energy efficient and is powered by their Micro grid which was part of the tour. Attendees had the opportunity to see the future of vehicles and the technology that will be a part of that.

Want to host a Business Showcase?

GETBA Business Showcase events are hosted by East Tamaki companies, usually on their own premises. Hosting a Business Showcase is an ideal way to profile your business to potential clients. You may have a new product or service, new premises or new technology you would like to showcase.

GETBA organises and promotes the event by email and on the GETBA website. The host company covers the venue and catering costs.

Attendees have the opportunity to meet other local business people in a relaxed, informal environment. The host company provides light refreshments throughout the evening and makes a brief presentation about their business.

We give the host company the right to decline attendance of competitors.

Mitre 10 MEGA Botany, Thursday 21 February 2019

 

Mitre 10 MEGA Botany hosted GETBA members in their new Garden Centre with refreshments where owner/operator Michael Beale spoke to everyone about retail and how it is changing. Attendees toured the extensive new under-cover Drive-Thru in their Trade Centre and saw the progress made towards a new 100 seater Columbus Coffee Cafe adjacent to the Garden Centre.

Cloud39, Thursday 08 November 2018

 

Members enjoyed refreshments while exploring Cloud39, a purpose-built and truly unique and modern facility providing co-working spaces, meeting rooms, professional services, a business incubator and innovation opportunities. There is also a cafe on site and with the family-owned Kiwi Supertots Learning Centre next door, there's also quality out of school care & holiday programmes for the East Tamaki community. Goodman showcases Highbrook Business Park expansion, Tuesday 20 March 2018

 

GETBA members were brought up to speed by Goodman CEO John Dakin at a Business Showcase on 20th March, hosted at one of their newly completed high-end showroom and warehouses. He told us that Highbrook Business Park is now more than 80% complete and home to 85 customers with approximately 4,000 employees in 50 buildings. It will be 90% complete within two years.

Highbrook Business Park is Goodman’s largest asset and has the largest volume of work underway of Goodman’s property portfolio. "It is our New Zealand flagship development and the benchmark globally," said John.

Attendees were treated to a tour of the recycling and waste minimisation facilities currently employed by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, and learned how they can begin their own environmental sustainability experience.

Schneider Electric, a specialist in global energy management, welcomed GETBA members into their state-of-the-art Head Office in Highbrook, utilising the opportunity to showcase their best and most innovative energy-saving products and systems employed throughout the building. 19 November 2013, Safety 'N Action

 

Safety 'N Action hosted guests at their new workplace safety training centre in style, with Hon Simon Bridges, Minister of Labour and Minister of Energy and Resources, in attendance to officially open the premises.
