Richard Poole - Chair
Richard is Managing Director of MiTek NZ Ltd, who have been based in East Tamaki since 1974, employ 70 staff and have been a member of GETBA from the very beginning. MiTek is a global company and world leader in the manufacture of fasteners, engineering, and software for the prefabricated roof truss and wall frame industry, operating in 17 countries.
Richard has been a committee member of GETBA since mid-2008.
Henry Jansen - Secretary
Henry joined the East Auckland office of law firm Wynyard Wood in 1992 becoming a partner in 1996. His main areas of work are business transactions, finance, trusts and conveyancing. He is also a Notary Public.
Born in Canada, Henry has lived most of his life in NZ. An avid football fan, he has a University Blue for soccer. This passion is an abiding one despite age and injury limiting his active participation.
Henry is a foundation member of GETBA and is currently Association Secretary.
Liz Groenewegen - Treasurer
Liz is a Chartered Accountant and joined RSM New Zealand (Auckland) in 2002. She has been based at the East Tamaki branch since 2005 and became the first female Partner of the firm in January 2008, and Managing Partner in February 2017.
Liz is also a property owner in East Tamaki and an active member of Highbrook Rotary.
Liz joined the GETBA Committee in 2010 and is the current Treasurer.
Phil is Managing Director of A Touch of Italy Limited, an importer, distributor and manufacturer of Italian food, wine and confectionery. His passion for Italian product stemmed from the car industry where he was Marketing Manager for the importer of Fiat, Lancia and Ferrari cars. He is particularly interested in the infrastructure of Auckland relative to roading and transport.
Phil Clarke has been a member of GETBA for eleven years and joined the committee seven years ago.
David is the designated representative for Broady's NZ Ltd, having moved one street out of the GETBA boundaries. He is is a Chartered Accountant and has operated his own practice, Lindsay and Associates, in East Tamaki for 20 years, offering accountancy, tax compliance and planning, business advisory services and investment planning.
He can identify with many GETBA members and their needs since they face similar issues to many small businesses that he has worked with. He was the Treasurer of GETBA for four years.
Kim is General Manager and Director of Hydestor Manufacturing Ltd, a 100% New Zealand-owned company, employing more than 50 people in the development, manufacture, installation and export of steel shelving systems.
Hydestor have had their head office and manufacturing facility in East Tamaki since 1989, and have branches in Christchurch, Wellington and Rotorua. Kim was appointed to the Committee in March 2013 following the resignation of Tony Coombe.
Phil is the founding owner of Neil Park Motors Limited, a mechanical workshop specialising in cambelt replacement services, which has been operating in East Tamaki for 31 years. Phil has five experienced technicians and undertakes fleet work as well as servicing individual customers. He has been Chairman of a body corporate for six years and has served on the Motor Trade Association.
Phil was elected to the Committee at the 2014 AGM, following the resignation of Brenda Hill.
